Master Communicator Award - Canada's Award of Distinction

The Master Communicator Award, sponsored by the IABC Canada Western and East Regions recognizes up to two outstanding Canadian communicators whose work has brought credit to IABC, the profession, the organizations they have worked for or with and whose contributions have raised the standards of organizational communication in Canada.

Inaugurated in 1980, the Master Communicator designation is the highest distinction bestowed upon an IABC member in Canada.

The initial awards presentation, at the Canada Conference in Vancouver in 1980, was made to eight previously designated life members -- individuals who pioneered the formation of professional associations for communicators in this country.

Nominations are accepted annually for an award to two members within Canada.

Recipients receive the designation "Master Communicator" (MC), a medallion commemorating their achievement and an honorary life membership in IABC Canada (East or Western Regions).

Award recipients are recognized at their respective regional conferences held each Fall.
